Jane Asher has been President of the NAS since 1997, after serving for many years as Vice President. Jane supports the Society in various fundraising and awareness activities, including attending corporate meetings, opening and visiting NAS schools and adult centres, helping to organise a variety of events, including the Stars Shine for Autism Christmas Concert, and raising awareness through media work.
Jane Asher is an actress, writer and businesswoman. As well as her work in theatre, film, radio and television she has written more than a dozen books and runs her own business, Jane Asher Party Cakes & Sugarcraft, in London. She has also written three best-selling novels.
Jane regularly appears on television and in feature films, and has most recently been seen in Death At A Funeral, The Old Guys, The Palace, Holby City, Poirot, Miss Marple and New Tricks. She has also performed many times on stage in the West End and at the National Theatre.
