My special brother Ben

Cartoon of boy with autism

Hello there!

My name is Ann and my brother, Ben, has autism. So what does this mean? Well, I'm going to tell you all about it.

People with autism have difficulty in three main areas. These are (as grown-ups describe):

  • difficulty with communication
  • difficulty with socialising
  • difficulty with imagination.

But what do these words mean? I'm going to explain it in my own words and use my brother as an example because I know him well.
